NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma unveiled its 2024-25 women's basketball non-conference schedule on Friday, completing the team's full schedule for the upcoming season. The non-conference slate features 13 regular season games, including eight opportunities for fans to see the Sooners at Lloyd Noble Center.
The calendar features four opponents from the 2024 NCAA Tournament, including marquee neutral-site matchups against Kansas State or Duke, and Michigan. Additionally, head coach
Jennie Baranczyk's squad will take on Louisville in the SEC/ACC Challenge and travel to UNLV.
The Sooners return to the floor on Oct. 29 with a home exhibition against Oklahoma Christian at Lloyd Noble Center at 6 p.m.
The regular season tips off on Nov. 4 with Southern visiting Norman for a 5 p.m. CT start, followed by Virginia on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. CT at Lloyd Noble Center. The annual Field Trip Day game is set for 10:30 a.m. CT on Nov. 13, with Western Carolina as the opponent.
After the season-opening three-game homestand, Oklahoma hits the road for five straight contests. The road stretch begins Nov. 19 at Wichita State, followed by a trip to Las Vegas, where OU will face UNLV (Nov. 22) and compete in the Ball Dawgs Classic in Henderson, Nev. The Sooners will play DePaul on Nov. 25 and either Kansas State or Duke on Nov. 27. The road trip wraps up with the SEC/ACC Challenge at Louisville on Dec. 4, televised on ESPN2.
Baranczyk's team returns to Norman for games against Alabama State on Dec. 8 (1:30 p.m. CT) and Oral Roberts on Dec. 15. The Sooners will then face Michigan in a neutral-site showdown at the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, N.C., on Dec. 19, with an 8:30 p.m. CT tipoff on ESPN2.
The non-conference slate concludes with two home games – Omaha on Dec. 22 and New Mexico State on Dec. 29.
All four of Oklahoma's home games in December are slated for a tip time of 1:30 p.m. CT.
As announced earlier, Southeastern Conference play begins on Jan. 2 with a home game against Texas.
In three seasons under Baranczyk, Oklahoma boasts a 74-26 record, two Big 12 titles and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances. The Sooners were ranked No. 12 in ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25 poll for 2024-25.
This year's schedule includes five Power 5 opponents (Virginia, DePaul, K-State/Duke, Louisville, Michigan), the most since the 2015-16 season.
Oklahoma boasts a record of 97-67 (.591) against this year's non-conference opponents, with an impressive 11-4 (.733) mark under Baranczyk versus this year's foes.
The Sooners return 98% of their scoring from last season's Big 12 championship squad, led by Big 12 Co-Player of the Year
Skylar Vann and Big 12 Newcomer of the Year
Payton Verhulst. The Sooners added All-American center
Raegan Beers, the No. 1 player in the transfer portal. Baranczyk returns all five starters from the 2023-24 team and preseason 2023 Lisa Leslie Award watch list honoree
