Sooners Reveal Complete Schedule for 2024 Volleyball Season

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head volleyball coach Aaron Mansfield announced the 2024 non-conference slate on Wednesday. The Southeastern Conference previously announced the conference schedule in June.
All eight of OU's non-conference matches will take place on the road. The Sooners will officially open the season at the Ameritas Players Challenge in Lincoln, Neb., Aug. 30-31. OU will face a familiar foe for the season opener as they take on former conference opponent TCU at 4:30 p.m. CT on the campus of the University of Nebraska. The Sooners will play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Aug. 31 at 1 p.m. CT.
OU continues its road trek to start the season, traveling to Omaha, Neb., for the MH Hospitality Omaha Challenge. The Sooners will face-off against Drake on Friday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. CT and conclude the tournament against host Omaha on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. CT.
Following its trip to Omaha, OU will stay in-state for the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational Sept. 12-13. The Sooners will face Stephen F. Austin on Thursday at 4 p.m. CT and play host Tulsa on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The non-conference slate concludes at the K-State Invitational with the Sooners once again facing a former conference rival. OU will open the tournament against UC Santa Barbara on Friday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. CT and conclude the tournament against Kansas State on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m. CT.
OU opens SEC play at home against Florida on Thursday, Sept. 26. The Sooners are slated to face every SEC team once in conference play and Arkansas and Texas twice in a home-and-home series. The schedule includes six home and six away matches with the remaining 12 teams. OU will face Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Texas A&M and Auburn at home and see Kentucky, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Mississippi State on the road.
