Trio of Future Sooners Shine at Development Program Nationals

NORMAN – Incoming freshman and members of the 2023 signing class Elle Mueller, Lily Pederson and Kelsey Slade wrapped up their level 10 careers at the 2024 Development Program Nationals over the weekend.

A former elite gymnast, Mueller won the all-around crown in the Senior F division with a 39.175 and placed in the top six on every event. A native of Ham Lake, Minnesota, Mueller placed second on vault (9.925), bars (9.775) and floor (9.850) while also picking up a sixth-place finish on beam (9.625). As one of the top four all-around gymnasts in the Senior F division, Mueller was named to the 2024 USA Gymnastics Development Program National Team.

Pederson placed fourth in the all-around in the Senior E division with a 38.725 to also earn a spot on the 2024 USA Gymnastics Development Program National Team. The White Bear Lake, Minnesota, native finished third on vault (9.925), seventh on floor (9.775) and ninth on bars (9.675). She closes her level 10 career as a four-time DP national team member ('21, '22, '23,' 24), the 2022 all-around national champion, 2023 uneven bars national champion and a two-time Nastia Liukin Cup qualifier.

Slade earned four top-10 finishes in the Senior F division, including a fifth-place finish in the all-around (38.875). The Vail, Ariz., native also placed third on bars (9.750), sixth on beam (9.625) and eighth on vault (9.85). She wraps up her level 10 career as the 2022 vault national champion and two-time Nastia Liukin Cup Qualifier.

The trio will join the Sooners in the fall of 2024 with their first season of competition in 2025.
