2024 NCAA Championship Details Announced

April 08, 2024 | Women's Gymnastics

NORMAN – The NCAA has released details on the 2024 women's gymnastics championships, scheduled for April 18-20 inside Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

The No. 1 overall seed Oklahoma Sooners will compete in Semifinal II on Thursday, April 18, at 8 p.m. CT, along with No. 4 Florida, No. 5 Utah and No. 8 Alabama. Competing on the opposite side of the bracket in the 3:30 p.m. CT session will be No. 2 LSU, No. 3 California, No. 12 Arkansas and Stanford. The meets will be televised on ESPN2 with three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger, three-time Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman and ESPN reporter Taylor Davis on the call.

All rotations were predetermined by random draw. As the No. 1 overall seed with the highest NQS ranking, the Sooners will compete in Olympic order, rotating vault, bars, beam, floor. Rotating with the team as an individual all-around competitor will be Gabby Wilson from Michigan.

The top two teams from each NCAA Semifinal will advance to the Four on the Floor, set for Saturday, April 20, at 3 p.m. CT on ABC. The Sooners have advanced to the NCAA Finals 12 times in program history, including each of the last 10 years. Oklahoma has placed in the top three every year since 2013 and has won six national championships (2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2023).

Individual event and all-around champions will also be determined during the semifinals. Seven Sooners have combined for 18 individual national titles in program history. The last national champion for the Sooners is student assistant coach Olivia Trautman who won the vault title in 2023.

The Sooners won their 14th straight regional championship and 16th overall on Saturday evening, posting the highest regional score across all four sites with a 198.400 at the Ann Arbor Regional.

OU captured five individual regional titles in Thursday's second round as seniors Katherine LeVasseur and Ragan Smith took home the vault and beam titles, while junior Jordan Bowers took home honors on bars, floor and the all-around.
