PEORIA, Ariz. – Sophomores Savannah Barber and Gracie Mayo each fired 6-under 66s and Oklahoma women's golf finished second (37-under, 827) at the Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club on Monday.

The Sooners recorded rounds of 276-278-273. OU's third-round score is the fourth-lowest total in program history and its first-round tally is tied for 10th. The final round 66s by Barber and Mayo are tied for the 10th-best round by an individual.

"It was a big week for us," said Oklahoma head women's golf coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell. "We have been pushing our players to get better in certain areas and they have been rising to the challenge all semester. I'm proud of everyone for their continued hard work and belief in our system."

Barber finished the two-day, 54-hole tournament tied for second and fired a 13-under 203. The Fort Worth, Texas product recorded the first of her five birdies on the par-5 fifth hole and moved to 3-under after an eagle on the eighth. She suffered her lone setback on the ninth hole and opened the back nine with three consecutive pars. Barber drained four birdies in her next five holes and wrapped up the event with a par on the 18th.

"Savannah had a solid week and is close to winning," said Drouin-Luttrell. "I'm super proud of her."

Mayo finished 7-under 209 and tied for 18th. The Newport, Wales product opened the final round with a par and drained an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole. Mayo recorded back-to-back birdies on the eighth and ninth, moving to 4-under through six. She drained three additional birdies on the back nine and recorded her lone bogey on the second hole.

"Gracie had a great day and has been playing steady," stated Drouin-Luttrell. " It has been fun watching her grow as a player."

Junior Reagan Chaney tied for 18th (7-under, 209) and tallied four birdies in the third round, including three on the front nine.
