AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Oklahoma soccer team dropped a 1-0 road result to Texas on Thursday evening in the first Southeastern Conference edition of the Red River Rivalry.
Oklahoma (8-5-1, 1-4-1 SEC) was outshot 13-9 by Texas (10-2-2, 3-2-1 SEC) on the evening. Sooner goalkeeper
Caroline Duffy made five saves and directed her back line to a strong performance, limiting Texas to just six shots on frame.
The Longhorns scored the match's lone goal in the 18th minute on a counterattack, creating an excellent scoring opportunity for Lexi Missimo to head in her eighth goal of the season.
OU earned a penalty kick in the 63rd minute but was turned away by the Texas keeper.
Hadley Murrell placed both her shots on frame and shared the shots lead with

Leonie Weber.
Oklahoma defender
Cailey England moved into second in program history in career minutes played during the match, recording a full 90 to push her total to 7,415. She needs just 35 minutes to tie Madeline Brem's career mark of 7,450.
