MEDELLÍN, Colombia – Future Sooner and U.S. women's national team member, Addison Fatta, helped Team USA win gold at the 2023 Senior Pan American Championships team final on Sunday.

Going wire-to-wire over the weekend in team competition, the gold medal marked the first time since 2018 the U.S. women's team claimed the top spot at the Pan American Championships. Followed by the U.S.' 163.700, Mexico took silver (154.698) and Canada (150.998) completed the podium with a bronze medal.

The team final has three competitors on each event, with all scores counting toward the total. Fatta competed in two events on Sunday as the U.S. competed in Olympic order, starting on vault and ending on floor. Fatta kicked off Team USA on vault with a powerful double-twisting Yurchenko for a 13.500. The Wrightsville, Pa., native, put an exclamation mark on a clean bars routine with a stuck double-layout dismount and score of 13.700.

During Saturday's team qualification, Team USA led the field with a 162.167, followed by Mexico (159.099) and Canada (155.768) in second and third, respectively.
The U.S. women claimed nine medals over the weekend, including five gold and four silver. Fatta added to Team USA's medal haul over the weekend with a silver medal on bars with a 13.667 on Saturday.

Fatta officially signed with Oklahoma on Nov. 9, 2022, as part of its star-studded 2023 recruiting class.
