Rowing Wraps Time at Big Ten / Big 12 Double Dual
April 15, 2023 | Rowing
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Oklahoma rowing team notched its second official race of the spring season at the Big Ten / Big 12 Double Dual against No. 19 Iowa, Kansas and Minnesota on Saturday.
In the abbreviated regatta, OU competed in six of the seven races slated for the day. The 1V8+ fought hard in the first half before trailing the Big Ten teams. In a tight race, the Sooners clinch second in the 2V4+, just 4.2 seconds behind Iowa.
"Thank you to Kansas for hosting a great regatta," said head coach Sarah Trowbridge. "We have work to do in rough winds but we had shining spots of improvements and steps forward highlighted by our fours, as well as tighter margins in many boats. Now, we look ahead to see if we can continue that progress next weekend at the Lake Wheeler Invite."
