OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma rowing team opened its spring season this weekend in Oklahoma City with back-to-back days of scrimmages.
On Saturday, OU competed in two rounds of strong non-divisional competition against Tulsa, UCO and Kansas State.
In the first and second rounds of racing, the first Novice 8+ also clinched the top spot. The Sooners took to the water in the Varsity 8+ boat and claimed second on the 2,000-meter course.
On Sunday, the squad wrapped their weekend with a head-to-head scrimmage against the Wildcats.
UP NEXT
The Sooners will continue their season with a scrimmage against Gonzaga in Chula Vista, Calif., on March 14.
