After a throwing error allowed the first run of the inning to cross, Wichita State again had two runners on the base paths. Brock Rodden, who tallied the first Shocker RBI of the contest, belted a three-run home run down the right field line, giving WSU the 8-7 final tally.
Despite Oklahoma holding the lead for most of the contest, Wichita State scored the first two runs in the second inning. The Sooners overcame the deficit in the top of the fourth.
Sophomore third baseman
Wallace Clark drew a walk to become the Sooners' first base runner of the inning with two outs. Sophomore second baseman
