NORMAN –
No. 15 Oklahoma will look to make it four straight wins on Wednesday when it travels to Fort Worth for a matchup with TCU (6-10, 0-5 Big 12). The Sooners (14-2, 4-1 Big 12) are tied atop the Big 12 standings and are the league's highest-ranked team in the AP Poll for the first time since 2009.
Tip is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+ with John Liddle and Janice Dziuk on the call. Chris Plank will call the action on the Sooner Radio Network.
THE STARTING FIVE
- One of the nation's hottest teams, the Sooners have won 11 of their last 12 games, including the previous three contests. Fresh off a streak that saw Oklahoma beat four teams ranked or receiving votes in the AP Poll since Dec. 21, OU jumped back into ESPN's Power Rankings at No. 13 and moved up four spots in the AP Poll to 15th.
- Oklahoma has the nation's seventh best offense, scoring 86.4 points per game powered by a Big 12-best 20.7 assists per game. The Sooners' 1.31 assist/turnover ratio ranks 12th nationally as the Crimson and Cream's 8.9 3-pointers per game are the 13th most in the country.
- Sharpshooting guard Taylor Robertson enters Wednesday's game just six 3-pointers shy of tying the all-time NCAA 3-point record of 497, held currently by Kelsey Mitchell. Robertson's 491 career treys are the most of any men's or women's Big 12 basketball player ever. She is the NCAA active career leader in 3-pointers, 3-point field goal percentage and ranks in the top five in free throw percentage and points.
- Playing in her hometown of Fort Worth, Madi Williams has dominated TCU in her career by posting an average of 13.5 points and 7.4 rebounds in eight games vs. the Horned Frogs.
- TCU is winless in Big 12 play, but three of those losses came by 12 points or fewer. All six of their wins this season have come at Schollmaier Arena, as the Frogs are led by Tomi Taiwo (15.0 PPG) and Lucy Ibeh (10.1 PPG). TCU gets to the free throw line more than any team in the league, shooting a league-high 22.60 FT attempts per game. The Sooners send opponents to the charity stripe 20.4 times per game, second-most in the Big 12.
SERIES HISTORY
The most lopsided series in the Big 12 for Oklahoma resumes on Wednesday when the Sooners and Horned Frogs meet for the 37th time. Oklahoma owns a 25-11 advantage all-time vs. TCU, including a 10-7 mark in Fort Worth. The Sooners swept the Frogs last season, winning by an average margin of 27 points. OU's winning percentage of .694 vs. TCU is OU's fifth best vs. any opponent.
