NORMAN – The 19th-ranked Sooners host No. 23 Kansas Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center in Oklahoma's third ranked matchup in the last four contests. The game will air on ESPN+ with Chad McKee and Dan Hughes on the call. On the Sooner Radio Network, Brian Brinkley will call the action.

Fans with tickets to the 11 a.m. Oklahoma men's basketball game can stay for the 2 p.m. women's basketball game for free. The Sooners enter the contest tied atop the Big 12 standings at 3-1 in conference play, and boast a Big 12-best winning percentage of .867.

THE STARTING FIVE

Oklahoma has the nation's sixth best offense, scoring 86.8 points per game powered by a Big 12-best 20.7 assists per game. The Sooners' 1.29 assist/turnover ratio ranks 14th nationally as the Crimson and Cream's 8.9 3-pointers per game are the 11th most in the country.
Saturday's contest will mark Oklahoma's third straight home game vs. a ranked opponent, something that hasn't happened since 2010 when the Sooners played UConn, Nebraska and Oklahoma State consecutively. It's just the fifth time in program history that the Sooners will have played three top-25 teams in a row at home.
Since entering Big 12 play on Dec. 31, Ana Llanusa has played her best basketball by posting four consecutive 20-plus point games for the first time since 2019 to lead the league in scoring in conference games at 23.5 points per game.
Sharpshooting guard Taylor Robertson enters Wednesday's game just eight 3-pointers shy of tying the all-time NCAA 3-point record of 497, held currently by Kelsey Mitchell. Robertson's 489 career treys are the most of any men's or women's Big 12 basketball player ever. She is the NCAA active career leader in 3-pointers, 3-point field goal percentage and ranks in the top five in free throw percentage and points.
No. 23 Kansas (12-3, 2-2 Big 12) is one of four ranked Big 12 teams and enters Saturday's contest off a 72-59 loss at Texas, and dropped their game before that to No. 18 Baylor. One of the best defenses in the conference, the Jayhawks has a defensive rating of 79.7 and hold opponents to just 36.0% (28th) and 59.5 points per game. They're one of 26 teams in the nation to rank in the top 70 in scoring offense and defense.

SERIES HISTORY

The second-most played series in Oklahoma history, the Sooners and Jayhawks will meet for the 79th time Saturday. The Sooners maintain a 44-33 advantage, including a 20-13 mark in Norman. The Jayhawks won the last meeting in Norman, spoiling OU's senior day festivities last year. But the Sooners got revenge by knocking off the Jayhawks at the Big 12 Tournament.

LAST TIME OUT

Madi Williams made history and Ana Llanusa led the way as No. 19 Oklahoma erased a slim halftime deficit and held off Texas Tech 89-79 in Lubbock on Wednesday night. Llanusa scored a team-high 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while Skylar Vann logged a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds to secure the victory. Williams became the first Sooner ever to eclipse 2,000 points, 850 rebounds and 300 assists in their career on Wednesday night. With the win, Oklahoma (13-2, 3-1 Big 12) moved into a tie atop the Big 12 standings with three other teams.

UP NEXT

Oklahoma is back on the road to open next week when it travels to TCU for a matchup with the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth. The game tips at 6:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Jan. 18, and will air on ESPN+. TCU is in last place in the Big 12 and the Sooners swept the Frogs last season, winning by an average margin of 27 points.
