NORMAN  The second-ranked Oklahoma men's gymnastics team claimed all six team event titles and defeated No. 6 Ohio State 408.400-399.050 Saturday night at McCasland Field House. The Sooners also tallied four individual event titles.

OU has now beaten 79 straight opponents inside the Field House dating back to 2007.

"We did a good job," said OU head coach Mark Williams. "We finished well today. High bar was a good event for us. We were battling. They hit. We hit. It wasn't until parallel bars that we had any break routines. I am pretty happy with that.

"We still have some cleanup to do. We have one more practice really before the postseason to make whatever corrections we need. Hopefully we go in the postseason to put it all out there."

Freshman Emre Dodanli started the Sooners strong on floor exercise with a 13.600, and junior Jack Freeman notched a 13.650. Senior Vitaliy Guimaraes followed with a career-best and OU-season-high 14.850 as Oklahoma took an early lead with a score of 68.450.

On pommel horse, freshman Raydel Gamboa registered a career-high 13.350 and  sophomore Zach Nunez tallied a 13.600. Guimaraes notched his second career high of the night with a 14.250, doubling as the Sooners' highest pommel horse score this season. Oklahoma's 67.150 marked its highest pommel horse score of the season, topping its previous high of 66.800 against Nebraska.

Freshman Fuzzy Benas and Alan Camillus (career high) each registered a 13.600 on still rings to help the Sooners post a score of 66.900 during rotation three.

In the fourth rotation, sophomore Daniel Simmons earned his second individual event title of the season with a 14.500 on vault and Benas tallied a 14.450 to lead the Sooners to a 70.950.

Oklahoma earned a 65.660 on parallel bars thanks in part to career-high scores by both Nunez (13.750) and Gamboa (14.050). Guimaraes contributed with a 13.150 and Benas closed out the rotation with a 13.750.

The Sooners claimed their highest high bar score of the season with a 69.400 after scoring a 69.050 against Springfield and William & Mary last Sunday. Benas tallied set a career high with a 13.750 and Freeman tied his career high with his third score of 14.500 in three weeks.

OU will host No. 9 California its final home meet of the season on Saturday, March 19, at 6 p.m. CT at McCasland Field House.
