Screen T8th After Clover Cup First Round

MESA, Ariz. - Hannah Screen led the Sooners with a 2-under 70 to open the Clover Cup and Oklahoma women's golf is 11th (12-over, 300) after the first round at Longbow Golf Club.
Screen opened the first round with a birdie and tallied pars on 11 of her next 12 holes to finish her first 13 holes even. Screen tallied a birdie on 14, drained an eagle on 15 and concluded her 3-hole stretch with another birdie on 16. It marked her third round under par during the spring slate.
Mikhaela Fortuna recorded the second-lowest OU round and tallied three birdies on her way to a 2-over 74.
Libby and Meagan Winans are tied for 62nd (6-over 78) and sophomore Kaylee Vesely finished out the OU lineup (7-over 79).
Maria Fernanda Martinez competed as an individual and tallied a 4-over 76 (T43rd).
The Sooners rank third on par 3s (3.15, +3).
