NORMAN – Ragan Smith was perfect on balance beam as the Sooners picked up their second-straight score of 198-plus with a 198.050 victory over Texas Woman's (194.775) Sunday afternoon inside Lloyd Noble Center.

The 10.0 was the first of Smith's career after the junior had come close twice this season with 9.975s. Smith's is the fourth 10.0 of the year earned by a Sooner and the second on beam. Smith took home the beam title, her third of the season on the event. Smith also earned the floor title with a career-high 9.975.

"Well, I've just been trained just like that just in practice, if not better," Smith said. "So, KJ always tells us we do our average beam routine or average routine whenever you show because the nerves and pressure gets to you sometimes. When I landed though I was really excited because that's just what I do in practice every day. It feels really good because I never thought that I would ever get the score I guess. I don't know why. It felt really good to just have one of the 10s I guess in the book. Hopefully I will keep getting more of those."

Allie Stern and Katherine LeVasseur shared the vault title with matching 9.875s. Audrey Davis took home the uneven bars title for the fifth-straight meet with a near-perfect 9.975 and the all-around with a 39.400.

The Sooners posted a 49.600 or higher on three of the four events, capturing the team event title on all four.

"It's really hard to get thrown off your schedule," head coach K.J. Kindler said. "And I will say when you're planning on competing and you're gearing toward that Friday night which you really thought that was going to be possible, it's hard to kinda flip. Flip your mindset, and then practice again and then rebuild to the meet. I think that was one of our first challenges this week and we handled it ok. Looking back, I think we could've handled it a little better."

OU opened on vault with a 49.150. Danae Fletcher set a career-high with a gorgeous Yurchenko full for a 9.85. Sheridan Ramsey added a 9.8 on her Y-full, while Audrey Davis led off with a 9.750. Stern and LeVasseur tallied matching marks of 9.875 on their Yurchenko 1.5s to lead the team.

"Vault definitely not up to our standards across the board," Kindler said "I really can't point to a vault where I felt like they really gave their best shot of the year. So, that was a real rough event for us. 49.150Ā is not something we are going to be able to do down the road. We definitely need to elevate ourselves on that event. It starts with practice, practicing better, landing better and being a little bit more aggressive on that event. Fixing form deductions, things like that. I definitely think we have a long way to go here."

The Sooners posted their highest score of the season on bars in the second rotation with a 49.650. Every counting score was a 9.9 or higher. Danielle Sievers led things off by matching her career high, 9.925, after nailing her dismount. Back in the lineup for the first time since week two, Karrie Thomas tallied a season-best 9.925 as she stuck her double layout dismount in the No. 3 spot. Ragan Smith earned a season-high 9.95 to match her career high. Bowers had a stunning routine in the No. 5 spot for a 9.9. Davis anchored with gorgeous handstands and a stuck dismount for her second-straight 9.975.

"Oh my gosh. The bar lineup is the best bar lineup I have ever been a part of," Thomas said. "One through eight can hit a 9.95 plus routine any day. Going into practice knowing that we're all good, it pushes us even harder every day because we have to do what's best from the next person after us and before us just to even get a chance. That pushes us every day. I think, just like you saw tonight, one through eight was on fire and I think once one person sticks it is very contagious so that'sĀ what we're looking for. Dani did a great job of that and it just continued with me and I think we just build off each other and trust each other and that's what's important."

A perfect score from junior Ragan Smith highlighted the third rotation as the Sooners tallied a 49.625 on beam. Jenna Dunn showcased her triple series and a stuck gainer full dismount in the leadoff position for a 9.875. As the leadoff this season, Dunn has yet to earn lower than a 9.875 in five meets. LeVasseur was stunning once again, sticking her dismount as she matched her career high with a near-perfect 9.975. In the No. 4 spot, Davis shined and showed off beautiful choreography for a 9.825. Carly Woodard was flawless as always, tallying a 9.95 in the No.5 spot.

"I'm really happy with all six hit routines in a row; that was definitely getting back in to our moreĀ steady routine," Kindler said. "Jordan is still not fully trusting everything. She's a really strong beam worker so we just need to tweak some things, really work on that dismount. Sticking that dismount is going be key for her to score higher. Jenna starting us off really strong as always. Kat doing a near perfect routine. And then Audrey, Carly, RaganĀ just got better and better and better and then 10 for Ragan. So excited for her. She's done a 10 worthy routine many, many times, but this is her first one. Really, really thrilled for her."

The Sooners matched their highest floor score of the season in the final rotation with a 49.625. Bell Johnson matched her career highĀ with a 9.925, showcasing incredible tumbling and fun dance in the leadoff spot. In the No. 2 spot, Davis added a 9.850 to wrap up her all-around night. Woodard notched a 9.9 in the No. 3 spot with solid tumbling and captivating choreography. Fletcher's unique whip to double-tuck first pass was strong as she earned a 9.875 in the No. 4 spot. Bowers's fierce choreography and strong tumbling earned her a career-high 9.95 in the No. 5 spot. Smith anchored with an upbeat and fun routine for a career-high 9.975.

"I would probably give Bell and Dani best starters of the night," Kindler said. "Just really starting us off very hot. Pointing out a couple others, Jordan, probably her best routine of the year. And then Ragan obviously knocking it out. But everyone on floor was really, really aggressive and performed really well."

The Sooners will wrap up their three-match homestand on Friday, Feb. 11, against George Washington. The meet is slated for a 6:45 p.m. start inside Lloyd Noble Center.
