Head of the Black Warrior River

Sooners Close Time In Alabama
October 29, 2022 | Rowing
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Oklahoma rowing concluded its fall season on Saturday at the Head of the Black Warrior River, hosted by the University of Alabama, against Alabama, Clemson, Louisville and Miami.
"It was a great opportunity to race across all our boats and competition," said head coach Sarah Trowbridge. "We learned a lot about the level of racing we want to step up to or repeat. The strong finishes at home and in some of the pairs and fours against their respective boat classes shows we're on the right track, but the scrimmaging shows us where our weak points are. All in all, it was hard racing we were looking for."
Starting off the day, OU sent two 4s onto the water with its A crew leading the way with a time of 18:23.9 for fifth place and Boat B crossing the line with a 19:15.4 for 13th place. The Sooners' time in Tuscaloosa finished with four boats in the pairs, where Lale Edil and Andjela Nisevic led the way with a 19:28.7 for a second-place finish.
