With the victory, Sooners improved the program's win streak in McCasland Field House to 77, a streak dating back to 2007.
"We had a pretty decent crowd after two years of not being able to fill up the Field House, said head coach Mark Williams. "I think the guys got to enjoy the experience of performing in front of a home crowd again. I'm pretty happy with our performance. We had a few mistakes but that's pretty normal for this time of year."
"I'm happy for Raydel (Gamboa), he got to show off his personality tonight. The last two events he did really well. Cailen Walker, it was his first time he's been out in a Sooner uniform and I'm really excited for him to be out there and get to compete, same with Brigham Frentheway. Those guys are young and it's awesome to see how they've responded to what we do as Sooners in the men's gymnastics program. I'm happy, we have things we can fix, but for now, I'm proud of their efforts."
