NORMAN — University of Oklahoma football tight end/H-back Jeremiah Hall was announced Wednesday as a nominee for the 2021 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which highlights student-athletes' community service, along with academic dedication and impact on and off the field.

Hall, a redshirt senior, is one of 67 FBS student-athletes nominated for the Good Works Team. He has been active on campus and in the community, volunteering in various areas, such as the OU Children's Hospital, the OU Food Pantry and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Charlotte, N.C., product has worked with the OU Food Pantry, raising money for canned goods, collecting non-perishable food to donate to the pantry and stocking items in the storage facility. He has also participated in campus clean-up events and helped put on a Know Your Rights cookout in which his fraternity partnered with the Norman Police Department to build trust between students and police.

Prior to the pandemic, Hall regularly visited the OU Children's Hospital and twice participated in the Art With a Heart art show. He also served as a team leader with FCA on campus, mentoring youth around the state and holding activities and open dialogue conversations.

Hall has played in each of OU's 39 games over the last three seasons and has started in 21 of 25 contests over the last two years. He has 36 career receptions for 423 yards and eight touchdowns, including career highs of 18 catches, 218 yards and five TDs in 2020. He was a 2020 first-team All-Big 12 selection and a 2019 second-team choice, and is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection.

The final 22-member team is selected by a voting panel of former Allstate AFCA Good Works Team members and journalists. The 30th edition of the AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September.
