May 17-19 / 54 Holes / Albuquerque, N.M. / UNM Championship Course / Live Scoring / OU Notes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Oklahoma men's golf team enters the postseason at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional as the nation's No. 1 overall seed. The team hasn't finished lower than second at a tournament in its last six events. The regional, slated for May 17-19 at the University of New Mexico Championship Course, will be contested over 54 holes of play, with the top five teams in a 14-team field advancing to the NCAA Championship.

The Sooners, led by four All-Americans and 12th-year head coach Ryan Hybl, will make their 10th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance and 48th overall appearance in school history. It's the third straight postseason that the Sooners have been named a No. 1 seed, and Oklahoma is the only school in the nation to appear in every NCAA match play since 2016, winning the national championship in 2017. Oklahoma has won five NCAA Regionals in program history: 1989, 1995, 2001, 2015 and 2018.

Hybl's team is fresh off a runner-up finish at the Big 12 Championship, where they finished one shot behind Oklahoma State. The Sooners have four team wins in 2020-21, second-most in a single season in Norman. More impressively, OU has grabbed a top-five team finish at 24 of its last 25 tournaments.

Individually, the Sooners' lineup boasts three medalists in McAllister, Reband and Welch this year, while Cummins owns three runner-up finishes, and Brightwell has six top-10 placements. The lineup has played 78 rounds of postseason golf, more than any other team in the country, and has combined for 66 top-10 finishes, 101 top 20s and eight wins over their careers.

Oklahoma is the only team in the country to have three players inside the PGA Tour U's top 17 rankings and place all five inside Golfweek's top 35. All of OU's starters rank inside the top 90 in the world, powered by No. 6 Reband and No. 16 Cummins.
