LANTANA, Texas – Mikhaela Fortuna paced the Sooners in the first two rounds of The Bruzzy on Sunday, leading the Oklahoma women's golf team to third on the leaderboard with 18 holes left to play.

Three Sooners grabbed a spot inside the top 20, and the remainder of the OU lineup sits just two shots outside of that mark. Veronique Drouin-Luttrell's team led the field with 127 pars and finished the day tied with Oklahoma State in par-three scoring to lead the field in that category.

"We had some great moments out there today," Drouin-Luttrell said. "I'm really excited to see what we can do tomorrow for another 18 holes."

Fortuna's (-2, T6) fired a clean card in Sunday's second round, sinking a pair of birdies and 16 pars to move into the top 10 in her second tournament of the season. The junior from the Philippines led the Sooners in her 2020-21 debut at the Moon Golf Invitational last month and is building off a sophomore season where she set the sophomore-scoring record for a Sooner, firing a 71.90 on the year. Her 30 pars across the 36 holes were the most in the field.

Fortuna is joined inside the top 20 by a pair of Sooners in Hannah Screen and Libby Winans, who sit in a tie for 19th at the par-72, 6,421-yard Lantana Golf Club after 36 holes.

Winans (+1, T19) opened her day with her sixth round of par-or-better this season, carding a 71 (-1) before shooting a 74 (+2) in the afternoon. The Richardson, Texas, product owns 10 top-20 finishes in her career and seven top 10s, as she currently sits two strokes outside of 10th.

Hannah Screen (+1, T19) continued her impressive season, sinking a team-high six birdies on Sunday to grab a share of 19th after rounds of 72 (E) and 73 (+1). Screen, who entered the day ranked 62nd in the Golfstat rankings, closed both rounds with a birdie and will take that momentum into Monday's final round, where she'll seek her fourth top-10 finish in five events.

Kaitlin Milligan, who will play in the Augusta National Women's Amateur later this week, carded an even-par 72 to open the day and a 75 (+3) in the afternoon to claim a share of 34th, just two shots outside of the top 20. She was joined in 34th by sophomore Maria Fernanda Martinez, whose 71 (-1) in the afternoon fired her up the leaderboard after a 76 (+4) in the morning. Martinez's opening-round score of 71 ties her season-low, set in the second round of the Schooner Fall Classic.

The Sooners, who have six top-five finishes in their last seven tournaments, will tee off in a shotgun start at 8:30 on Monday morning with Oklahoma State (-19, 1st) and UNT (-5, 2nd).
