Mask Policy

  • Appropriate cloth or surgical-style masks that cover the nose and mouth completely will be required at all times while on campus and inside L. Dale Mitchell Park. No exceptions.
  • Other face coverings including clear face shields, gaiters/buffs, bandanas or masks with valves are not permitted.
  • Fans will be given a disposable mask if their mask does not meet guidelines and may purchase approved masks from The Sooner Shop on game day once inside L. Dale Mitchell Park.

Ballpark Seating Capacity Pattern

L. Dale Mitchell Park seating capacity will be based on the establishment of "family" seating pods of 2 to 6 based on the primary ticketholder's request with a consistent pattern of separation between each of the pods. The pattern will be arrayed throughout the grandstand in a manner that best fits the configuration of each seating section. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, every fan is required to have an assigned seat. Reserved bleacher seating is located in the upper levels, and all seats located in boxes are now reserved chairback.

The basic components of the seating capacity pattern include:
  • "Family" seating pods of 2 to 6 will be assigned.
  • No seat will be occupied directly in front or directly behind any family pod: an empty seat will be on the row directly in front and the row directly behind each seat in a family pod.
  • Each family pod will have direct access to an aisle without crossing in front of any other family pod on the same row.
  • The closest pod on the same row in the seating bowl will be separated by 3 empty seats. These seating patterns permit a stadium capacity in the seating bowl of approximately 655.

Ticketing

  • Digital ticketing will be implemented for 2021 to allow fans to seamlessly access or transfer tickets to others via the SoonerSports2Go app. Step-by-step instructions and additional information on how to access and transfer tickets is available at SoonerSports.com/digitaltickets.
  • Barriers will be in place at all ticket booths to minimize contact.
  • Self-serve pedestal scanners will be used to reduce points of contact.
  • By entering the stadium, fans attest that they agree to OU's Fan Conduct Policy (PDF), are not COVID-19 symptomatic and will follow COVID-19 prevention protocol, including wearing a mask.
  • Entrance pathways at each entry will be safely distanced.
  • Visiting team ticket allotments will be reduced per Big 12 Conference guidelines.
  • The L. Dale Mitchell Park Ticket Office will open 60 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. The ticket office and will call windows are located behind home plate, along W. Imhoff Rd.
  • In the case of a rainout or canceled game, fans who purchased a ticket for that contest may exchange it for any remaining home game on the schedule. A reserved ticket can be exchanged for a reserved seat at a future game, though the same seat cannot be guaranteed. Fans will need to contact the OU Ticket Office to exchange tickets for a future game to guarantee seating availability.

Parking

  • All parking for baseball games is located in the Lloyd Noble Center parking lot, across W. Imhoff Rd. from L. Dale Mitchell Park.

Gate Entry

  • Gates to L. Dale Mitchell Park open 60 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. Entrance gates are located behind home plate, along W. Imhoff Rd.

Clear-Bag Policy

  • OU will continue its clear-bag policy this season. The approved clear plastic tote size is a maximum of 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Even those bags are subject to search. In addition, metal detectors will be located at each stadium entrance gate.
  • Non-transparent clutch wallets no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches are permitted.
  • Additional masks, hand sanitizer less than 3 oz., wipes or other sanitizing equipment are permitted.
  • Bags necessary for medical equipment will be searched at marked medical lanes at each gate.
  • No other bags or purses including diaper bags are permitted and the limit on bags is one per person.
  • Fans will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the stadium. This is consistent across all OU Athletics venues.
  • Metal frame stadium seats with chairbacks are allowed in L. Dale Mitchell Park, and are required to go through appropriate security screening at the main gate west entrance.
  • Due to seating location restrictions, lawn chairs are not permitted inside the L. Dale Mitchell Park or on the concourse. Lawn chairs will be permitted in the outside outfield berm areas.
  • Per Big 12 conference policy, umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium, but ponchos and other rain gear are permitted.
