NOTES AND NUMBERS FOR MEET SEVEN

MEET BASICS
The No. 4 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for its first quad meet of the season when the Sooners face NC State, George Washington and William & Mary on the NC State campus. The Sooners are wrapping up a three-meet road swing with the quad meet. The meet is set to air on ACC Network Extra at 6 p.m. CT.

LOOK BACK AT IT
Senior Anastasia Webb was perfect on vault and head coach K.J. Kindler earned her 400th win as the head coach of Oklahoma as the Sooners tallied the nation's highest score with a 198.225 on Feb. 13 in a tri-meet at the annual Metroplex Challenge. OU defeated TWU (194.050) and Centenary (189.925) to claim its third straight title at the event. Oklahoma became the third team to reach the 198 mark this season after Florida (198.150) and LSU (198.050) both recorded their season-high scores on Feb. 12.

Webb had a night to remember as she tallied a career-high 39.725 in the all-around. The senior took home four event titles, starting with vault, as she earned a 10.0. The perfect mark was the second of her career and first on vault. Webb also added titles on beam with a nearly perfect 9.975, floor with a 9.950 and the all-around. Two other Sooners took home event titles as senior Jordan Draper and sophomore Vanessa Deniz earned the title on bars with matching 9.9s.

The Sooners tallied the second-highest score in program history in the first rotation with a 49.750 on vault. OU counted no scores lower than 9.925 on their way to the nation leading score. Freshman Audrey Davis upgraded her vault this week to a 1.5 for a career-high 9.925 in the anchor spot.

TO 198 AND BEYOND
The Sooners became the third team in the nation to post a 198 or better in 2021, just a day after the first two teams (Florida and LSU) reached the mark. OU did so in dominating fashion with a nation-leading 198.225 at the Metroplex Challenge on Feb. 13.

In two of the last four seasons, the Sooners have posted at least eight marks of 198 or higher. Since 2016 OU has totaled 32 scores of 198 or better and has 39 such scores in program history. Of those 39, only 15 have been earned at home with the other 24 all coming at road or neutral sites. Nine of those scores have come in regional or national competition, including the 198.475 mark at the 2019 NCAA Athens Regional which is the top road score in NCAA history. In 2018, OU set the NCAA record with 10 scores of 198 or better in a single season. OU has more scores of 198 in the last six years than any other program has in their entire history.

REMEMBER THE NAME
Freshman Audrey Davis has been an unstoppable force on the uneven bars since joining the Sooners this season. With six meets under her belt, Davis has won the event title in four of them meets. Davis has also tallied a 9.9 or higher in the last four meets, including back-to-back weeks with a career best 9.95. Davis ranks seventh in the nation on the event. On Feb. 13, she added even more to her resume by debuting an upgraded vault. Davis performed a Yurchenko 1.5 for the first time, earning a career-high 9.925 as she stuck her vault to lead the Sooners to a 49.750 in the rotation.

MILESTONE WATCH
Head coach K.J. Kindler reached a career milestone on Feb. 13 as she earned her 400th win as the head coach at Oklahoma. In that time, she has lead the Sooners to 11 Big 12 Championships, four National Championships and three perfect seasons. This isn't the only milestone Kindler will celebrate in 2021. Kindler needs just six wins to reach 500 in her career. With back-to-back quad meets on deck for the Sooners, the milestone victory could come as soon as Feb. 26. Prior to Oklahoma, Kindler tallied 94 wins as the head coach at Iowa State (2001-2006). Kindler's career wins rank sixth all-time in NCAA history and second amongst current head coaches. Michigan's Bev Plocki has nearly 800 wins in her 31 year career at the helm of the program.

WINNING WAYS
With an 8-0 record to start the 2021 season, the Sooners have extended their winning streak to 56 consecutive wins, dating back to the 2019 season. OU's last loss came at the 2018 NCAA Championships when they finished as the runner-up. This is the second longest winning streak in school history for the Sooners who have posted three streaks of 50 victories or more. From 2016-2018, the Sooners had 75 consecutive victories, including a perfect season in 2017. From 2014-2015, the Sooners won 50 consecutive meets. OU currently has the nation's longest active win streak. Florida currently ranks second with 15 consecutive wins after going undefeated in the shortened 2020 season.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Nine Sooners hold 12 individual rankings. Anastasia Webb leads the way with rankings on two events and in the all-around. Webb is tied for 17th in the all-around (39.333), fourth on beam (9.921) and 11th on vault (9.883). Three other seniors join Webb in the rankings as Evy Schoepfer is ranked fourth on vault (9.904), Karrie Thomas is tied at No. 17 on bars (9.871) and Carly Woodard is No. 8 on beam (9.900). Two freshmen are ranked with Audrey Davis at No. 7 on bars (9.908) and Audrey Lynn at No. 14 on vault (9.875). Junior Allie Stern is ranked No. 23 on vault with a 9.862 average. Sophomore Vanessa Deniz is ranked on a pair of events at No. 6 on beam (9.912) and No. 8 on bars (9.900). Sophomore Ragan Smith is ranked on floor at No. 17 (9.895).
