NOTES AND NUMBERS FOR MEET SIX

MEET BASICS
The No. 4 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team is set for the first podium meet of the season when they travel to Fort Worth, Texas, for the annual Metroplex Challenge. The Sooners will face Centenary College, Iowa State and TWU in a quad-meet inside the Fort Worth Convention Center. The Sooners will look to defend their title at the Metroplex Challenge. OU has won the previous two seasons and will aim to win a third-straight title.

LOOK BACK AT IT
On Sunday, the Sooners posted a season-high 197.800 in a tri-meet win over No. 8 Denver (196.725) and Temple (194.850) in Denver, Colo. The Sooners posted the top score on all four events with a 49.375 on vault, 49.325 on bars, 49.625 on beam and 49.475 on floor. Their 49.625 on beam is the highest score in the nation to date and ranks 10th all-time in program history. The Sooners notched season bests on three of four events (vault, beam, floor) en route to the second highest team score in the nation. OU took home three event titles with Allie Stern and Evy Schoepfer taking home vault with matching 9.95s. Audrey Davis earned her fourth-straight uneven bars title with a 9.95 for the second consecutive week. Davis also took home beam as she shared it with teammate Ragan Smith.

MOVING ON UP
After Sunday's meet, the Sooners moved up to No. 4 in the rankings with a 196.845 average. Florida remained at No. 1 with a 197.506 average, while LSU held No. 2 with a 197.144 average. Utah remained in third with a 197.090 average and Arkansas rounded out the top five with a 196.775 mark. OU holds the No. 2 spot on bars (49.365), the No. 3 spot on vault (49.280), the No. 7 spot on floor (49.255) and No. 14 on beam (48.945).

LONE STAR SOONERS
When OU hits the road for Denton, six Sooners will be making a trip to their home state, with five hailing from the North Texas area. Audrey Davis (Plano), Jordan Draper (Bedford), Erin Hutchison (Plano), Emma LaPinta (Frisco), Katherine LeVasseur (San Antonio) and Ragan Smith (Lewisville) all hail from the state of Texas. Draper trained at Empire Gymnastics, Davis and Hutchison at WOGA, LaPinta at Kurt Thomas, LeVassuer at Mavericks Gymnastics and Smith at Texas Dreams.

MILESTONE WATCH
Kindler is closing in on not one, but two coaching milestones in her illustrious career. The 2021 season will see Kindler achieve her 400th win as the head coach at Oklahoma and her 500th overall career win. Only six wins separate the two milestones for Kindler. At press time, she needs just two wins to reach 400 at Oklahoma and eight wins to reach 500 in her career. Prior to Oklahoma, Kindler tallied 94 wins as the head coach at Iowa State (2001-2006). Kindler's career wins rank sixth all-time in NCAA history and second amongst current head coaches. Michigan's Bev Plocki has nearly 800 wins in her 31 year career at the helm of the program.

REMEMBER THE NAME
Freshman Audrey Davis has been an unstoppable force on the uneven bars since joining the Sooners this season. With five meets under her belt, Davis has won the event title in four of five meets. Davis has also tallied a 9.9 or higher in the last four meets, including back-to-back weeks with a career best 9.95. Davis ranks sixth in the nation on bars and is the highest ranked Sooner on any event.

DAVIS, DUNN EARN BIG 12 HONORS
Freshman Audrey Davis and sophomore Jenna Dunn were named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and Event Specialist of the week, respectively, the conference announced Tuesday. This is the second career honor for Davis who was named the newcomer of the week after week one of the season. Dunn received her first career honor and is the third Sooner to earn event specialist of the week this season.
Davis was phenomenal over the weekend as she took home two event titles and set two career highs in a win over Denver. For the fourth time this season, Davis took home the event title on bars with a 9.95. The freshman followed up her career performance with a career-high 9.95 on beam and a second event title as she led OU to a nation-best 49.625 on the apparatus. Davis also added a 9.800 on vault as she helped the Sooners to their best mark of the season on the event. Dunn was instrumental in leading the Sooners to a nation-high score on beam. The sophomore led off the event by matching her career high with a 9.925 as the Sooners counted only marks of 9.9 or better in the rotation.

WINNING WAYS
With a 6-0 record to start the 2021 season, the Sooners have extended their winning streak to 54 consecutive wins, dating back to the 2019 season. OU's last loss came at the 2018 NCAA Championships when they finished as the runner-up. This is the second longest winning streak in school history for the Sooners who have posted three streaks of 50 victories or more. From 2016-2018, the Sooners had 75 consecutive victories, including a perfect season in 2017. From 2014-2015, the Sooners won 50 consecutive meets. OU currently has the nation's longest active win streak. Florida currently ranks second with 14 consecutive wins after going undefeated in the shortened 2020 season.
