NORMAN ā Head men's gymnastics coach Mark WilliamsĀ announced the 2022Ā Oklahoma men's gymnastics schedule Wednesday afternoon.
Oklahoma is slated for nine regular-season competitions before it heads into postseason events.Ā
The Sooners will open their 2022Ā campaign in Colorado Springs, Colo., with the Rocky Mountain Open, hosted by the Air Force Academy.Ā
"We've structured our schedule pretty similar to past years with the Rocky Mountain Open in Colorado Springs at Air Force Academy," said Williams. "It will be a good opener for us to get going and see where we are in the rankings."
OU will then host Air Force the following weekendĀ on Jan. 22.Ā before traveling for the next two meets on the schedule.The Sooners will head toĀ Palo Alto, Calif., to face off against the defending national champion Stanford Cardinal in the Stanford Open Jan. 29, and thenĀ compete against IllinoisĀ in Champaign, Ill. on Feb. 2.Ā Ā
Following the two weeks on the road, the Sooners will host Nebraska at McCasland Field House on Feb. 19 before breaking from NCAA competition for theĀ 2022 USA Gymnastics Winter Cup.Ā
Individuals who qualify for theĀ Winter Cup meet will compete in Indianapolis, Feb 24-26. At last year's Winter Cup, sixĀ current and former Sooners competed with four OU gymnasts that were named to the U.S. Senior Men's National Team.
Oklahoma will start the month of March off on the road in Springfield, Mass., facing off against Springfield College and William & Mary on Sunday, March 6 at 11 a.m. CT.Ā
Oklahoma will return to Norman in the month of March for their final two home meets versus Ohio State (March 12)Ā and Cal (March 19). The regular season finale against Cal will serve as senior night for the Sooners' four seniors.
The Sooners will begin the postseason on April 2Ā in Palo Alto, Calif., as StanfordĀ will host the MPSFĀ Championship. OU will look to secure itsĀ tenth consecutive conference championship over AFA, Cal and Stanford.
Following the conference championship, teams will take a two-week break in preparation for the 2022Ā NCAA Championships hosted by the Sooners at the Lloyd Noble Center.

The team qualifier will take place on April 15Ā prior to the team finals on April 16. OU has won four of the past six NCAA Championships and brought home ten All-America honors in 2021Ā at the championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
