NORMAN — The Big 12 Conference announced its revised 2020 volleyball schedule Friday, a slate that has Oklahoma playing 16 conference games beginning Sept. 24 against Texas.
Programs will play a double round-robin format of 16 matches scheduled in eight double-headers with competition against the same opponent in consecutive days at the same site. The team(s) that finishes with the highest winning percentage will be crowned the Big 12 champion. The season will run through Nov. 21.
Led by third-year head coach Lindsey Gray-Walton, the Sooners return 13 student-athletes from the 2019 squad, including senior and two-time Big 12 Libero of the Year Keyton Kinley.
Joining the returners will be sophomore transfer Grace Talpash and freshmen Tyler Alcorn, Sam Anthony, Kelsey Carrington and Guewe Diouf.
The Sooners finished their 2019 campaign with a 19-9 record and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.
