100 Sooners on Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

NORMAN — One-hundred University of Oklahoma student-athletes have been named to the 2019-2020 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, the conference announced Wednesday.
The team, comprised of 856 Big 12 student-athletes, honors conference competitors who were new, incoming freshmen at their respective institutions during the 2019-20 season.
Ten of the 102 student-athletes nominated with a 4.00 grade point average are from OU. The Sooners with perfect GPAs are Elise Welch (cross country/track and field), Alan Camillus (men's gymnastics), David Sandro (men's gymnastics), Jenna Dunn (women's gymnastics), Allix Huggan (rowing), Andjela Jovanovic (rowing), Amanda Nork (rowing), Caroline Berutti (soccer), Jenna Sheely (soccer) and Cam Picklo (wrestling).
Nominated by each institution's director of student-athlete support services, student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team must be new, first-time/incoming freshmen who have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team was introduced in the 2012-13 academic year.
