NORMAN ā The Walter Camp Football Foundation, caretaker of the nation's oldest college football All-America team, announced Thursday that Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey is a member of its 2020 preseason All-America first team.

Humphrey, a redshirt junior who has started 26 of his 28 career games, including all 14 last year, earned 2019 second-team All-America honors from the Walter Camp Foundation, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America and Sporting News.

The Shawnee, Okla., product was one of three 2019 finalists for the Rimington Trophy ā awarded to the nation's top center ā and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection by league coaches and media. He was selected as Big 12 Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year by coaches, registering 93 knockdowns and not allowing a sack in his 799 snaps.

A finance major who is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection, Humphrey was named a freshman All-American by the FWAA and The Athletic in 2018 when OU's offensive line won the Joe Moore Award.

The Sooners are 24-4 in Humphrey's two seasons, with Big 12 championships and College Football Playoff appearances both years.
