NORMAN – OklahomaĀ men's gymnast Collyn KelloggĀ was one of 88 NCAA Division IĀ student-athletes named to aĀ CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's At-LargeĀ Team, the organization announced Thursday.Ā

Kellogg is one of 11 athletes selected to the District 7 team, consisting of schools located in Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. He's joined on the District 7 list by just one other gymnast, Evan Hymanson (Nebraska).

With the honor, Kellogg advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 16-19.

A May graduate, Kellogg earned dual degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish, whileĀ boastingĀ an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.99. While at OU he's been named to the President's Honor Roll (4.0 semester GPA) nine times, receiving just one B in his collegiate career. He has been honored twice as an MPSF Scholar-Athlete and been named to the Academic All-Big 12 At-Large team two times.Ā

Kellogg competed in all but one of the squad's 2018Ā competitions, helping the Sooners to their 12th NCAA title in program history. A still rings specialist, Kellogg recorded his career high at the 2018 MPSF Championship, tallying a 14.150 and earning a top-three finish. After missing the 2019 campaign with injury, the Katy, Texas, nativeĀ competedĀ in four 2020 meets before the season was cut short, including the Sooners' lone home meetĀ where he helped OU to its 58th consecutive victory at McCasland Field House.

With his gymnastics career coming to a close, Kellogg plans to furtherĀ his education, entering OU's MD/PhD program.
