The 2019 season ended in a heartbreaking Bedlam battle at the Big 12 Championship, but there was plenty to be proud of in 2019. Here's a look back at some of the highlights of the 2019 season.Ā

Kaylee Dao had a breakout year as a redshirt senior, notching 13 goals. Dao tallied her first career hat trick in a 3-2 victory over Kansas State. She had five game-winning goals, including the golden goal in all four overtime victories. She finished third in OU history with 29 career goals and second all-time with 11 game-winners.Ā

A pair of Sooners earned All-Big 12 honors in 2019. Kaylee Dao was a unanimous first-team selection as a midfielderĀ while Maya McCutcheon was named to the all-freshman team.

Ten players received Academic All-Big 12 recognition, including six first-team selections. Seniors Kaylee Dao (human relations) and Ivanna Rivas (psychology), junior Erika Yost (interior design) and sophomores Megan McClay (finance), Megan Reilly (business), and Jazzy Richards (business) were all named first-team selections. Senior Kristina O'Donnell (communication), redshirt junior Lauren Haivala (communication) and sophomores Cameron Tharp (business) and Lauren Tovy (business) were named to the second team.

Kaylee Dao finished her career with four postseason honors. She was a third-team All-Midwest region selection, a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American,Ā a Senior CLASS Award All-American and the Big 12 Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Three athletes scored their first collegiate goals in 2019. They were Maya McCutcheon, Erika Middleton and Jazzy Richards, and they combined for five goals on the year.Ā

The Sooners posted seven wins or ties in their 10 overtime games in 2019. OU was 4-3-3 in overtime games, with wins over Arkansas, Tulsa, Kansas State and Baylor.Ā

Eight different Sooners contributed to the goal scoring. Kaylee Dao, Yuuka Kurosaki, Maya McCutcheon, Erika Middleton, Kristina O'Donnell, Jazzy Richards, Ivanna Rivas and Erika Yost all tallied at least one goal in 2019.
