NORMAN – OU heads to Kansas City, Mo., for the 2020 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship to be held at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. The No. 9 seed Sooners will meet in-state rival and No. 8 Oklahoma State Thursday in the first round at 6 p.m. CT.

The game will be broadcast on Fox College Sports Central with Ron Thunlin, Brenda VanLengen and Stacey Dales on the call.
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- The Oklahoma women's basketball team heads to Kansas City, Mo., for the 2020 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship inside Municipal Auditorium. The Sooners are 12-10 all-time inside Municipal Auditorium, where the tournament was last held in 2012.
- OU owns a 25-19 all-time record in the Big 12 Championship and has won four Big 12 tournament titles (2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007).
- No. 9 seed OU will face in-state rival and No. 8 seed Oklahoma State in the first round on Thursday at 6 p.m. The teams split the regular-season series with the visiting team winning each contest. This season marked the first time since the 2013-14 season the teams had split the series.
- The Sooners are 5-5 all-time against the Cowgirls during the postseason. The teams have not met at the Big 12 Championship since 2016 in Oklahoma City, when OU prevailed 61-45 in the quarterfinals.
- OU concluded the regular season at 12-18 overall and 5-13 against the Big 12. The Sooners have lost their last eight contests. Four of those contests decided by five points or fewer.

A win in Thursday's matchup would pit the Sooners against top-seeded Baylor in Friday's quarterfinal game. That contest will tip at 1 p.m. CT inside Municipal Auditorium.
