⢠Oklahoma continues its road trip with a four-game series at Cal Poly this weekend at Baggett Stadium in San Luis Obispo, Calif., beginning Thursday. Game times are 8 p.m. CT Thursday, 8 p.m. CT Friday, 6 p.m. CT Saturday and 3 p.m. CT Sunday.

⢠The Sooners are ranked as high as No. 9 in the March 9 national polls (ninth by Baseball America and by Perfect Game). OU is ranked No. 12 by the NCBWA and No. 13 by D1Baseball and the USA Today Coaches Poll.
⢠Oklahoma will play baseball games in California for the second straight year and the 14th time since 2001. OU competed in the Tony Gwynn Legacy Tournament in San Diego last year. Since the turn of the century, the Sooners also traveled to California in 2001, '02, '04, '05, each year from 2007-13 and in '16.

⢠Oklahoma and Cal Poly have played five times. OU leads the series 4-1.
⢠The Sooners swept the three-game series on opening weekend last season, winning by scores of 4-1, 9-3 and 5-2.
⢠The schools split two games in 1986 in Norman. OU won 19-4 and Cal Poly won 15-12.
About the Sooners:
⢠Oklahoma has won six of its last seven games, including a 3-0 win at UT Arlington on Tuesday. OU went 4-1 last week with wins over No. 21 Dallas Baptist (10-3) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (13-2) in the midweek, and two wins over San Diego State (8-4 Saturday and 9-8 in 10 innings Sunday). The Sooners dropped the opener to the Aztecs 5-4 before bouncing back to win the series.
⢠The Sooners are batting .279 and averaging 6.3 runs per game with 67 extra base hits while allowing 3.1 runs per game and a .218 batting average. The OU pitching staff has a 2.85 ERA.
⢠OU has 32 stolen bases through 18 games this season, already surpassing its total from the entire 2019 season. Freshman
Peyton Graham has a team-high eight steals (8-9), more than the highest individual total from last year. Junior
Tanner Tredaway, who led the team with seven steals in 2019, is 5 for 6 so far this season.
⢠The Oklahoma pitching staff ranks third in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings (12.4). Perhaps more impressively, OU pitchers rank fourth nationally and first in the Big 12 with a 4.67 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The Sooners have issued just 45 free passes this season. Oklahoma also ranks ninth nationally in fielding percentage (.985), sixth in doubles (41), 10th in triples (8), 13th in hits (166) and 19th in fielding double plays (14).
⢠OU pitchers have struck out 210 batters in 152.0 innings this season. Junior
Cade Cavalli has a team-high 37 punch outs in 23.2 innings while junior
Levi Prater has struck out 33 in 23.2 frames and freshman
Jake Bennett has 19 K's in his 12.0 innings over three starts.
⢠Tredaway's 28 hits are second-most in the nation as of March 9 (most is 30 by Portland's Jake Holcroft). He is tied for the national lead with four triples (tied with five others) and is third in total bases (51; most is 67 by New Mexico State's Nick Gonzales).

Justin Mitchell and
Brady Lindsly have thrown out eight runners trying to steal in 19 attempts (.579 stolen base percentage). Mitchell has caught five runners stealing (runners are 9 of 14) and Lindsly has caught three stealing (runners are 6 for 9).

Peyton Graham has hit .478 over his last six games (11-23), totaling six extra base hits, four RBIs, 11 runs scored and six walks. The freshman third baseman scored two runs at UTA, recorded two hits in each of OU's three games against San Diego State, homered twice on Saturday and scored the winning run in Sunday's series-clinching victory in the 10th inning.
⢠Prater struck out 13 batters over 7.0 innings last week, allowing just a run on five hits and two walks Saturday against San Diego State. He retired 15 of his final 16 batters, giving up only a walk in that span, and struck out five straight between the fourth and fifth innings.
⢠Tredaway hit .450 with five RBIs and six runs, and recorded a double, triple and a home run in five games last week against DBU, UAPB and San Diego State. He was one of three players to go 3 for 3 in stolen bases last week (also Graham and
Brady Harlan). He leads OU with a .378 batting average, 13 extra base hits, 14 RBIs and a .689 slugging percentage.Ā
⢠Senior
Jason Ruffcorn retired all six batters he faced in the ninth and 10th innings against San Diego State on Sunday, earning his first win of the season. He followed that up by striking out the side at UTA, earning his fifth save of the season. For the season he has allowed three hits and one walk with 12 strikeouts in 8.0 innings, facing three batters over the minimum.
⢠Senior shortstop
Brandon Zaragoza hit .400 last week (6 for 15), scoring five runs. He is 11 for 27 (.407) over the last nine games with six runs scored, four RBIs and two doubles.
