Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

NORMAN — The Oklahoma soccer team announced its schedule of 2020 spring matches on Monday afternoon. The Sooners are set to play a total of four contests throughout February, March and April, including two matches in Norman at John Crain Field. All matches will be free and open to the public.
OU's first contest will be Saturday, Feb. 29, at 1 p.m. as the Sooners host Stephen F. Austin at John Crain Field.
The Sooners will travel to Texas twice to take on Big 12 rival Texas Tech on Saturday, March 7, and SMU on Saturday, April 11.
The final spring contest will be part of the Sooners' alumni weekend festivities. On Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m. OU will host an alumni game at John Crain Field pitting the current team against former players.
The Sooners are under the direction of head coach Mark Carr who is in first season at the helm of the program. Carr spent the last six years coaching with the U.S. Soccer Federation, serving the last year as head coach of the Under-20 Women's National Team as it prepared for World Cup qualifying in February 2020. He was also head coach of the University of San Francisco's women's team from the 2007 through 2011 seasons.
