WACO, Texas – The Oklahoma volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the No. 2 Baylor Bears, 25-16, 25-14, 25-16, Friday night inside the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.
The Sooners dropped to 0-4 on the season, while Baylor improved to 5-1. The Bears out-killed OU on a .277 hitting percentage while holding OU to .030.
Baylor also led in kills (37-23) and digs (51-42). OU had the advantage in blocks, 7.0-4.0.
Keyton Kinley led the Sooners with a season-high 19 digs, while
Grace Talpash dished out 17 assists and added nine digs of her own. Outside hitter Guewe led the team with 10 kills, her fourth-straight double-digit kill performance.
Sarah Sanders chipped in five kills, while Sanaa Dotson added another four.

Baylor jumped out to a 15-10 lead in the first set to claim the opening frame, 25-16. In the second, the teams battle back-and-forth to open the frame as a Sanders kill tied it at 4-all. Baylor used 14-6 run to pull ahead 18-10 and ultimately close out set two 25-14. The Sooners fell behind early in set three, 9-3, as Baylor claimed the final set and the match, 25-16.
OU is back in action Oct. 16 and 17 as the Sooners host Kansas inside McCasland Field House.
