NORMAN – In the first home matches of the 2020 season, the Sooners will play a double header this Saturday at the Headington Family Tennis Center. OU will face Oral Roberts at 10:30 a.m. CT and UMKC at 2 p.m.

The Sooners took the early lead and the doubles point with wins, but fell to No. 21 Florida in singles at the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Ivana and
Carmen Corley teamed up to take down Florida's Victoria Emma and McCartney Kessler, 6-2, at the premier spot.
In singles,
Carmen Corley came up clutch in the No. 2 spot as she sealed a straight-set victory over Victoria Emma, 6-2, 6-2, to bring the match back even at 3-3. Florida clinched the match when Marlee Zein defeated OU's
Oleksandra Korashvili, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2.
In the consolation match, OU's tennis team flew past Rice 4-2, which improved their record 1-1 on the season.
The Sooners' duo of
Martina Capurro and
Camila Romero never trailed in their match with Maria Budin and Diae El Jardi to win 6-4 and clinch the opening point for OU.
No. 87 Capurro notched 6-3, 6-3 victory over Haet at the top spot and the Sooners went up 3-1 in the match.
Romero clinched the 4-2 win for the Sooners with a 6-3, 6-3 rout of Huang on court five.
Looking at Oral Roberts
After winning 4-3 against Louisiana Tech, Oral Roberts is entering this weekend with an overall record of 2-3. The Golden Eagles fell short in their doubles point, but was able to catch up in singles. Andrea Vasiljevic, a returning senior, clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
The Golden Eagles completed their 2018-2019 season with an overall record of 10-15.
Scouting UMKC
UMKC fell 4-0 in their first match of the season against Florida International University, setting their record at 0-1.
The Roos finished their 2018-2019 season with an overall record of 11-12.
