A senior at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Morris is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and ESPN, and a three-star recruit by Rivals. An Under Armour All-American, ESPN ranks him as the nation's No. 10 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 38 prospect in the state of Texas.

Morris went 27-2 as a starter his final two seasons, accounting for 7,694 passing yards, 88 passing touchdowns, 1,286 rushing yards and 37 rushing TDs. He was named state championship game MVP after completing 23 of 35 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-17 win over Alvin Shadow Creek.

This past season, Morris passed for 3,658 yards and 42 touchdowns and rushed for 635 yards and 17 scores en route to being named district MVP by coaches. Highland Park finished 11-2 and advanced to the regional semifinals.

The 21st member of OU's 2020 recruiting class to date, Morris is the son of Auburn offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Chad Morris, who served as head coach at SMU and Arkansas.
