BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Aysia Harty was the hero of the match Thursday as the Sooners came out on top of a wild five-set match with Oregon State. With the contest down to the wire at 16-all in the fifth set, the sophomore went to the service line and reeled off back-to-back aces to seal the deal for the Sooners.
OU came back from a two-set deficit to defeat Oregon State 22-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-18, 18-16.
Though Harty's contributions headlined the match, several Sooners shone in the effort.
Kylee McLaughlin recorded her second double-double of the season as she tallied 43 assists to go with 17 digs, and
Sarah Sanders set a new career-high in kills with 20 to shatter her previous record of 12. The junior swung .400 in the match and added four blocks.
Paige Anderson also recorded kills in double-digits with 10 on an impressive .667 clip. On the defensive end,
Keyton Kinley had a season-high 32 digs in the contest while freshman middle blocker
Abby Butler put up six blocks.
Oregon State led the Sooners in every statistical category on the night, but the Sooners prevailed in a thriller. The Beavers took the first two frames 25-22 and 25-20 and looked to sweep before the Sooners won the third set 25-20 to keep the match alive. OU dominated the fourth 25-18 to force a deciding set.
In the final set, OSU took a 10-6 lead before the Sooners rallied. A service error by the Beavers led to an 11-11 tie before OU sophomore
Sabrina Simms fired off a kill to give OU the edge and force an Oregon State timeout. Anderson and McLaughlin teamed up for a block right after the break, then an attacking error by the Beavers made it 14-12 OU.
The Sooners allowed three straight points by Oregon State, but Simms kept OU in it with a kill to tie the set once again at 15-all. The Beavers scored to bring up match point, but Sanders put down her 20
th kill of the night to stave off OSU. Harty made her way to the service line and sealed the win with two serves that went untouched.

The Sooners are set for two more matches tomorrow as they face Yale at 11 a.m. and host Indiana at 6 p.m.
