NORMAN — Oklahoma men's gymnastics senior Yul Moldauer claimed NCAA and MPSF Gymnast of the Week honors for the second-straight week, the NCAA and conference announced Tuesday evening.
In his first all-around action of the 2019 NCAA season, the Sooners co-captain claimed the title versus Michigan last Saturday with an 88.300 tally. The score ranks as the top all-around total of the NCAA season and the best mark since January 2017 when OU alum Allan Bower recorded an 88.750. Moldauer also won four of the six event titles against the Wolverines, recording NCAA-best marks of 15.300 on floor exercise and 15.100 on parallel bars.
The U.S. senior national team member will compete individually this weekend in Greensboro, N.C., as he looks to defend his back-to-back American Cup titles at this year's installment of the World Cup event. Action will begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CT on The Olympic Channel and NBCSN.
The meet will serve as Senior Night for the nine members of the class of 2019. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats post-meet as he senior recognition ceremony will be held following awards. Tickets can be found here.
