Lamb, Humphrey on Walter Camp All-America Teams

NORMAN — University of Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation on Thursday, and center Creed Humphrey earned second-team honors.
 
Lamb, a Biletnikoff Award finalist and unanimous All-Big 12 First Team selection, ranks third nationally with 14 receiving touchdowns and seventh with his 20.8 yards per catch. He ranks 11th in the country with his 100.7 receiving yards per game despite ranking 69th with just 4.8 catches per contest.
 
The Richmond, Texas, product has made at least one touchdown reception in nine of his 12 games this season and is tied for the lead among Power Five players with six games of 135-plus receiving yards. He also leads the nation's non-seniors with his 32 career receiving TDs and 3,173 career receiving yards. Lamb ranks second at OU in career receiving TDs, fourth in career receiving yards and 16th in career all-purpose yards, in just under three years of competition.
 
Humphrey, a Rimington Trophy finalist and team captain from Shawnee, Okla., has started 25 of his 27 career games for the Sooners at the center position. He is the anchor of a line that has paved the way for Oklahoma to lead the nation with 8.2 yards per play and 11.4 yards per pass attempt (min. 10 attempts per game) and rank second nationally in yards per game (554.2), third in yards per completion (16.0) and passing efficiency rating (195.9), fifth in third-down conversion percentage (50.7) and eighth in yards per rush (6.1). In 799 plays this season, Humphrey has registered 93 knockdowns without allowing a sack. Humphrey was named Big 12 Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year, a first-team All-Big 12 selection and an Academic All-Big 12 Second Team honoree.
 
No. 4-ranked OU will make its 53rd bowl appearance when it takes on No. 1 LSU in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 28 at 3 p.m. CT. The game will be televised by ESPN.
