Rally Falls Short at Houston

HOUSTON – The Oklahoma women's basketball team fell in its first road contest of the season as it dropped to Houston 85-69 Saturday. 
  
Houston narrowly out-shot the Sooners 40%-39.7% from the field and 25%-21% from three.Three OU players scored in double figures, but the Sooners' late rally came up short. 

"We get better from here," said head coach Sherri Coale. With the loss, OU moves to 3-2 on the year. 
 
Junior guard Ana Llanusa led the way with 21 points for her fifth straight game in double figures and fourth with 20-plus. Nydia Lampkin and Madi Williams each chipped in 10. 10 points was a career high for Lampkin, who went 5-for-10 and had six rebounds on the day. Williams added nine rebounds and three assists.
