NORMAN — Oklahoma junior wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Sooners to a 42-41 victory over Iowa State on Saturday, the league office announced Monday.

Lamb was huge in Oklahoma's win over the Cyclones, catching eight passes for 167 yards and first-half touchdowns of 48 and 63 yards to help the Sooners to a 28-7 lead. In the first half alone, he had six catches for 142 yards as OU led 35-14 at intermission.

The game marked Lamb's school-record-tying fifth of his career with at least 160 receiving yards. His 28 punt return yards on the night gave him 195 all-purpose yards for the game.

The Maxwell Award semifinalist and consensus first-team midseason All-American is tied for the national lead with 13 receiving TDs and ranks ninth with his 109.2 receiving yards per game despite ranking 68th with just 4.9 catches per contest. Lamb, from Richmond, Texas, has at least one TD reception in all but one game this season and is the only Power Five player who has at least five games of 135-plus receiving yards. He also leads the nation's non-seniors with his 31 career receiving TDs and 2,948 receiving yards.

This is Lamb's second Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honor this season (Oct. 14) and OU's ninth Big 12 weekly honor of the year. Brendan Radley-Hiles (Sept. 9) and Kenneth Murray (Oct. 14) were named Big 12 Defensive Players of the Week, and Jalen Hurts has been named Offensive Player of the Week twice (Sept. 3 and Oct. 21) and Newcomer of the Week three times (Sept. 3, Sept. 30 and Oct. 14).

No. 10/8 Oklahoma (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) travels to face No. 12/10 Baylor (9-0, 6-0 Big 12) on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Waco, Texas. The game will be televised on ABC.
