Two Signees Nominated for McDonald's Game

NORMAN — Oklahoma women's basketball signees Gabby Gregory and Liz Scott were named nominees to the 2019 McDonald's All-American Game, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Both players signed with Oklahoma in November, helping to form the nation's 11th-ranked signing class according to Prospect Nation.

Gregory is averaging 21.5 points per game during her senior season at Holland Hall Prep. A 5-11 guard, Gregory was named the Tulsa World's Prep Player of the Year after averaging 31.2 points per game as a junior, crossing the 2,000-point mark after her third prep season. The Sapulpa, Okla., native is ranked as the No. 23 guard and No. 87 overall prospect by ESPN Hoop Gurlz, while Prospects Nation tabs Gregory as the No. 22 guard and No. 112 overall prospect in the 2019 class.

As a junior, Gregory was a 2018 All-USA Oklahoma first team selection by USA Today Sports and is a two-time second team Super 5 pick by the Oklahoman.

Scott is rated as a five-star recruit by Prospects Nation (No. 2 forward/No. 9 overall) and a four-star recruit by ESPN Hoop Gurlz (No. 15 wing/No. 76 overall). As a junior at Klein Oak High School, Scott averaged 16.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.2 steals per game.

Scott, a 6-2 forward, finished her junior season with over 1,000 points scored for her prep career and is known as one of them most versatile athletes in the 2019 class. Scott has shown the ability to score in the paint, while also defending multiple positions defensively.

The 2019 McDonald's All-American Game will take place on March 27 inside State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga. Selections for the game will be made at a later date.

The Sooners have had seven signees compete in the McDonald's All-American Game. Freshman Madi Williams scored 13 points to lead the East team at last year's event.
