GAMEDAY STORYLINES

SHARP SHOOTERS
A trio of OU forwards have helped lead OU to a 2.20 goals per game average this season with their precise shooting skills. Junior Ivanna Rivas has tallied two goals this season on six shots with all six being on goal. Redshirt junior Kaylee Dao has posted nine total shots, with five shots on goal and three goals. Freshman Hailey Davidson has a pair of goals on just two shots on goal, including the first goal allowed by Texas A&M this season.

STREAK SNAPPERS
When OU traveled to Texas A&M last Friday, it was walking into a battle with a team that had yet to concede a goal in 2018. The Aggies had outscored opponents 12-0 before Friday night, recording 360 minutes of scoreless play. In the 42nd minute, freshman Hailey Davidson ended the streak at 402 total minutes with her second goal of the season. The Sooners also held A&M scoreless at the half, becoming the first team to hold the Aggies off the board in any half of play this season.

OFFENSIVE SURGE
The Oklahoma offense has been stellar this season, recording 11 goals through five games for an average of 2.20 goals per game. For comparison, the Sooners had scored just three goals through five games in 2017. If the Sooners keep this pace up, they would be on pace for 39 goals this season, which would be a new school record (37, 2010).

MARVELOUS MCMAHAND
Marissa McMahand had a record night against Illinois State on Aug. 24, becoming just the second Sooner in program history to record three assists in one game. McMahand now holds the school record for most assists in a game, joining Anna Crawford who set the record in 2015. The senior assisted on both of Kaylee Dao's goals along with a goal by Jordan Hobart. Two of the three assists came off incredible corner kicks from the senior.

BALANCED ATTACK
Through OU's first five matches, 20 Sooners have seen playing time, showcasing the depth the team has on its roster. Six players have combined to score 11 goals, with redshirt junior Kaylee Dao leading the way with three, including a pair against Illinois State and one against Oklahoma State. Junior Ivanna Rivas tallied the first goal of the season in the season opener against Nebraska and added the tying goal against Gonzaga. Erika Yost, Hailey Davidson, Jordan Hobart and Emily Parker added goals against Illinois State with Yost and Davidson picking up their first career goals.

VICTORY IS SWEET
After starting the year with a pair of narrow losses, the Sooners righted the ship and picked up their first win of the season in dominating fashion on Aug. 24. OU topped Illinois State, 7-1, to pick up its most impressive victory since defeating UTSA 8-1 in 2015. The Sooners scored four goals in the first half, marking just the second time in program history they've accomplished the feat (Aug. 21, 2016 vs. Loyola Marymount).

Five different players scored goals, including a pair from Kaylee Dao. Erika Yost and Hailey Davidson each tallied their first career goals, while Jordan Hobart and Emily Parker scored their firsts of the season. Marissa McMahand notched three assists, the first Sooner since 2015 to do so.

SCOUTING REPORTS

USF
The Dons are an impressive 5-1 this season with their only loss coming against No. 1 Stanford. USF has tallied 11 goals on the season while allowing eight. Samantha Jennings leads the way with five goals on the year on just 12 shots. Six other players have all added at least one goal and Miciah Madison has added a team-leading three assists. In goal, Molly Eby has seen the most playing time, allowing six goals in 380 minutes while adding 18 saves.

The Dons come to Norman off a pair of victories over UC Santa Barbara and New Mexico. USF shut out UCSB, 2-0, behind goals from Jennings and Madison. USF held UCSB to just three shots on the day, with just one on goal. On Sunday, the Dons defeated New Mexico in the final minute of double overtime, scoring with just seven seconds left to earn the 2-1 golden goal victory.

CALIFORNIA
The Golden Bears come to Norman with a 3-2 record, with losses to No. 19 Santa Clara and UCSB. Like USF, Cal has tallied 11 goals and allowed 8 through five games this season. In goal, Olivia Sekany has played every minute, allowing eight goals and collecting eight saves in 455 minutes of work.
