GAMEDAY STORYLINES

UNDERWAY IN BIG 12 PLAY
Over the weekend, the Sooners began conference play by splitting a pair of games at Kansas and Kansas State. On Sept. 21, OU battled through two overtime periods before ultimately falling, 2-1, to Kansas with just 56 seconds left on the clock. Kaylee Dao gave the Sooners a first-half lead, but the Jayhawks would come back for the win.

OU's first win of the Big 12 season came on Sept. 23 as the Sooners downed Kansas State, 1-0. Erika Yost had the game-winner, tallying her second goal of the season just 46 seconds into the game. Behind an incredible effort in goal from McKinley Crone, the Sooners were able to put away their second shutout of the year.

BEDLAM PART TWO
Since 2010, OU and Oklahoma State have played a pair of Bedlam games each year, one being a non-conference matchup early in the season. The teams play one game in Norman and one game in Stillwater every year, alternating who hosts the non-conference and conference games.

The two teams met on Aug. 19 in Stillwater for this year's non-conference matchup. The Sooners faced a 2-0 deficit before Kaylee Dao put them on the board with less than five minutes remaining. OU battled hard in the final few minutes, but ultimately fell, 2-1, to the Cowgirls.

FANTASTIC FRESHMEN
The 2018 freshman class has made an incredible impact since arriving on campus. Hailey Davidson leads the way with four goals, while Megan Reilly and Lauren Tovy have each added one goal apiece. Reilly and classmate Olivia Smith have each recorded a pair of assists and Davidson has added one of her own. The freshmen are responsible for 30 percent of shots taken this season (38 of 125) and 30 percent of shots on goal (19 of 65). Of the 11 members of the 2018 signing class, six have seen action this season.

OFFENSIVE OUTBURST
The Sooners have had quite the offensive turnaround from the 2017 season, almost doubling their season total from a year ago in just 11 games. Through 11 games OU has posted 21 goals for a 1.91 goals per game mark. In 2017, the Sooners tallied just 13 goals all season. The offensive surge has been primarily due to five goals from Kaylee Dao and four goals each from Hailey Davidson and Ivanna Rivas. OU has posted more than three goals in a game twice this season, earning a 7-1 victory over Illinois State and a 4-1 victory over San Francisco.

KEEP STREAKING
The Sooners have put together an impressive streak of scoring at least one goal in every game this season. Only 17 other teams have achieved the same feat, including conference foes Baylor, Texas and Oklahoma State, and 2018 opponents Texas A&M and California. This is the second longest streak in program history as the 1998 squad put together 13 consecutive games with at least one goal scored.
