NORMAN — Oklahoma's Kyler Murray and Austin Seibert excelled in the Sooners' 37-27 win at Iowa State on Saturday, and on Monday were named Big 12 Offensive and Co-Big 12 Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, in a vote by media who cover the league.

Murray picked up the offensive honor for the second straight week after accounting for 425 yards and three touchdowns in his first career road start as OU won for the 26th time in its last 27 league games. The redshirt junior completed 21 of his 29 pass attempts (72.4 percent) for a career-high 348 yards and finished with an efficiency rating of 207.4. He averaged 12.0 yards per attempt and 16.6 yards per completion. His team-high 77 rushing yards came on 15 carries (5.1 average).

The Allen, Texas, product teamed with junior receiver Marquise Brown for 189 yards through the air before halftime, helping Brown set a school record for receiving yards in a half.

Murray is one of only four quarterbacks nationally who average at least 200 passing yards and 50 rushing yards per game this season. He leads the group in passing touchdowns (8) and total TDs (10).

Seibert positively impacted all phases of OU's kicking/punting game against the Cyclones. The senior made a career-high-tying three field goals on three attempts, including the game-sealing 42-yarder with 2:51 remaining in the fourth quarter. He punted twice for an average of 48.5 yards, with one of the boots sailing 53 yards and downed at the ISU 13-yard line. Also, all eight of Seibert's kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.

The Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week award is the fourth for Seibert, who was honored twice last season and once in 2016.

No. 5/5 Oklahoma (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) welcomes Army West Point (2-1) to Norman on Saturday. It will mark the fourth meeting between the Sooners and Black Knights, and first since 1961. The game will start at 6 p.m. CT.
