Sooners Ranked No. 3 in Preseason Poll

NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's golf team will start the 2018-19 season ranked No. 3 in the preseason Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

The Sooners earned 401 points in the preseason. It also matches the highest ranking for the Sooners under 10th-year head coach Ryan Hybl.

Oklahoma State was ranked No. 1 in the poll, while Alabama, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt rounded out the top five. Auburn, Georgia Tech, Florida, LSU and Texas were ranked inside the top 10.

The Sooners return All-Americans Quade Cummins, Brad Dalke and Blaine Hale from last year's squad that advanced to the match play competition at the NCAA Championships.

OU opens the season next Friday at the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach, Calif.
