NORMAN — In a final tune-up before the 2018 season begins, the Oklahoma volleyball team will host Arkansas on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT for an exhibition contest at McCasland Field House. Admission is free for fans.

Sooner volleyball enters a new era in 2018 as head coach Lindsey Gray-Walton begins her inaugural season at the helm. The 2017 AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year at Kentucky, Gray-Walton is joined on the sidelines by first-year OU assistants Jake Barreau and Megan Pendergast and volunteer assistant Kyle Walton.

Oklahoma returns nine student-athletes for the fall campaign, including 2017 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and First-Team All-Big 12 selection Alyssa Enneking. Enneking is one of four experienced seniors on the 2018 squad, joining Audrey Alford, Madison Drescher and Morgan Miller.

Joining the Sooners this season are a large group of newcomers, including transfers Brianna Kadiku, Keyton Kinley and Kylee McLaughlin and freshmen Aysia Harty, Sabrina Simms and Olga Zampati.

The Sooners lead the all-time series with the Razorbacks, 4-3, claiming the last four meetings. The two programs also met in 2018 spring play with OU clinching the win in Norman.

OU Athletics will introduce a clear bag policy and walk-through metal detectors at all home events this season, including Saturday's exhibition. More information can be found here.

The Sooners open their 2018 campaign Aug. 24-25 in Dekalb, Ill., at the Northern Illinois Invitational, the first of three road tournaments for OU. Oklahoma then returns to McCasland Sept. 14-15 to host Northwestern State and Texas A&M in the OU Nike Invitational. Season and single-match tickets are on sale now.
