3B-Brylie Ware Ware picked up his second career weekly honor as the Big 12 Player of the Week after hitting .562 (9-for-16) last week. He drove in nine runs against West Virginia, including a career-high six in the opener.

FIRST PITCH

The University of Oklahoma baseball teams hosts Oklahoma State for a midweek, non-conference Bedlam match-up on Tuesday, March 27. The action is set to get underway at 6:30 p.m. from L. Dale Mitchell Park for the Sooners' first home Bedlam game since 2016. Voice of the Sooners Toby Rowland will call the game across the Sooner Sports Network, which will air locally on Sportstalk 99.3 FM/1400 AM. The game can also be streamed online at Sportstalk1400.com or on the TuneIn mobile app. Sooner Sports TV will broadcast Tuesday's game on the FOX Sports Oklahoma. Veteran OU broadcaster Chad McKee (play-by-play) and former MLB and Sooner pitcher George Frazier (color analyst) will be in the booth on the TV side of the broadcast.

ABOUT THE SOONERS

Oklahoma won its fourth series in a row, swept its first in Big 12 play since 2015 and first to open the conference slate since 2013 to improve to 17-9 on the season. The Sooners are hitting .287 as a team, which is tied for second in the Big 12. Sophomore catcher Brady Lindsly leads the team with a .388 average with 17 RBI. Junior right fielder Steele Walker is second at .343 with 20 runs and 19 RBI. Junior third baseman Brylie Ware is hitting .333 with 11 doubles and 20 RBI, while junior left fielder Cade Harris is hitting .323 with a team-leading 28 runs and 12 doubles. The OU bullpen has totaled six wins and six saves. In the closer role, junior right-handed pitcher Connor Berry has nailed down five saves with a 2.79 earned run average and 13 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. Freshman lefty Levi Prater has appeared in a team-high 16 games. He is 1-1 with a 1.08 ERA, .075 batting average against and 26 strikeouts in 16.2 innings pitched. Collectively, the bullpen averaged 11.12 strikeouts per-nine-innings, while the entire pitching staff is first in the league at 10.02.

DOUBLE TAKE

As a freshman, Steele Walker was one shy of the Sooner rookie record with 17 doubles. His six this season has pushed his career total to 39. Walker is one away from cracking that top-20 list in the OU record book, which would tie him with Tommy Thompson (1976-79). In the Big 12 era, he is tied with Garrett Buechele (2008-11) for the eighth most since 1997.

BIG 12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Junior third baseman Brylie Ware earned his second career weekly honor from the Big 12 as the conference Player of the Week (3/26). He hit a team-leading .562 (9-for-16), including .500 (6-for-12) with nine RBI in a series win over West Virginia. Ware went 3-for-4 in each of the first two games of the week, including a six-RBI game vs. the Mountaineers; the most by a Sooner since Craig Aikin's six vs. Little Rock (3/3/15).

JOINING THE 100-100 CLUB

Steele Walker surpassed 100 RBI and runs for his career against West Virginia (3/23). He became the first OU player to reach 100 in each category since Sheldon Neuse (2014-16). Beginning with Jackson Williams (2005-07), seven Sooners reached the milestone over the next seven years. Walker isjust the second to do so playing his entire career in the BBCOR era. All-time, 40 players have reached the 100-run, 100-RBI mark as a Sooner. The first to do so was Keith Drumright (1974-76) with 147 runs and 114 RBI.

SCOUTING THE COWBOYS

Oklahoma State comes into the week with an 11-10-1 record. The Cowboys went 1-2 against Texas on the opening weekend of Big 12 play. After taking the series opener, 6-1, the Cowboys dropped the next two. Junior Matt Boone collected five extra-base hits, drove in three runs, and batted .429 in the series. Another cornerstone in the lineup for the Cowboys, is junior Colin Simpson. The Edmond, Okla. native, currently has a team-high 28 hits, 22 RBI, and six home runs. The pitching staff is led by reliever Carson Teel. The junior ranks first on the team in wins with three and ERA at 1.95. In 32.1 innings this season, Teel has struck out 40 and held the opposition to a .205 batting average.

Dylan Grove: Pitched OU to a series win with 5.2 innings against OSU (5/15/16), allowing one run on four hits and two walks. Cade Harris: .286 (6-for-21) hitter vs. the Cowboys with four RBI in six games and five starts. Jake Irvin: 4.11 ERA, 19 strikeouts in 15.1 innings across three starts with a 1-2 record. BEDLAM IN NORMAN

The Sooners lost to the Cowboys, 4-3, in the last Bedlam game in Norman on April 20, 2016. The series is tied, 24-24, all-time in Norman. Oklahoma last won at home vs. Oklahoma State on April 5, 2011. The No. 7 Sooners defeated the No. 23 Cowboys, 8-3, behind 6.1 innings of relief from Dillon Overton, who struck out eight. Garrett Buechele was one of six players with two hits and drove in a team-high four runs.
