NORMAN — Oklahoma redshirt junior Kaylee Dao earned another postseason recognition, being named to the All-Midwest Region second team by United Soccer Coaches.
Dao is just the seventh Sooner to earn all-region honors in her career and is the fifth to earn a second-team nod. This season, the Tulsa, Okla., native was also named to the All-Big 12 first team.
Dao started all 19 games this season, leading the team with six goals on the year. She added a pair of assists to lead Oklahoma with 14 points. Dao recorded a multi-goal game with a pair of scores in a 7-1 win over Illinois State on Aug. 24.
This marks the first time since 2016 that the Sooners landed at least one athlete on an all-region team. Other Sooners named to all-region teams include Logan Womack (2001), Lauren MacIver (2005), Whitney Palmer (2009), Renae Cullear (2012) Liz Keester (2016) and Rachel Ressler (2015, 2016).
