NORMAN — The Oklahoma volleyball team is back in action this weekend as it faces No. 8 Texas on Saturday in Austin, Texas.

The match is set for a 3 p.m. CT first serve on the Longhorn Network.

MATCH DAY STORYLINES

Last Time Out

Behind a season-high 19 blocks, the Oklahoma volleyball team took down RV Kansas State 3-1 inside Ahearn Field House on Wednesday night: 25-23, 25-17, 23-25, 25-19.

Oklahoma's 19 blocks match a program record for total denials in a four-set match in the 25-point rally scoring era (2008-present). Junior Brianna Kadiku led the way with a career-high 10 while Paige Anderson added nine.

On the attack, Oklahoma out-killed KSU by a 58-49 mark while hitting .256 to the Wildcats' .120. The Sooners also led KSU in assists, 57-45, and digs, 77-73.

Senior outside hitters Alyssa Enneking and Morgan Miller both earned double-doubles on Wednesday. Enneking finished with a match-high 18 kills and added 14 digs for her 13th double-double of the year. Miller totaled 10 kills to go with a season-high 18 digs for her first double-double of 2018. Also finishing with double-digit kills were Anderson (12) and Sarah Sanders (11).

Kylee McLaughlin led the match with 52 assists, her first 50-plus performance since Sept. 7. She finished one dig shy of a double-double. Keyton Kinley totaled a match-high 24 digs while Aysia Harty added 10.

Previewing No. 8 Texas

Ranked No. 1 in the Big 12, Texas leads the all-time series with OU 50-4 after narrowly edging the Sooners in five sets in Norman on Oct. 13. The Longhorns suffered their first conference loss on Oct. 10 against Kansas but bounced back with three straight wins.

Named Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Micaya White leads UT with 3.72 kills per set while adding 2.43 digs per set. Ashley Shook is averaging 10.67 assists per set, and Sydney Peterson holds 3.54 digs per set this season. Brionne Butler and Morgan Johnson pace Texas with 1.21 and 1.18 blocks per set, respectively.

The Sooners return to McCasland Field House on Nov. 3 to host Baylor, which is currently receiving votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll. The match is set for a 7 p.m. first serve, and tickets are on sale now.
