GAMEDAY STORYLINES

WEEKEND RECAP
The Sooners simultaneously opened conference play, while wrapping up non-conference action over the weekend. Conference play kicked off with the second Bedlam match of the season, this time in Stillwater. The teams were even after a scoreless first half, but the Cowgirls would come away with the 4-1 victory. Rasha Roberts netted the lone goal for the Sooners, the eighth of her career.

Sunday marked the end of non-conference games as the Sooners traveled to Los Angeles to take on Loyola Marymount. OU dropped a 1-0 decision as a goal in the 89th minute was the difference maker.

CONFERENCE PLAY CONTINUES
OU will play four of its nine Big 12 matches at home with Baylor, Texas, Kansas and Kansas State coming to Norman. The Sooners will once again be away from home for 19 days during the month of October, playing a stretch of three Big 12 matches on the road.

SOONERS AT JOHN CRAIN FIELD
Since the beginning of the 2015 season, OU is unbeaten in 18 of its last 22 home matches (14-4-4). The Sooners are also 4-1-3 in conference play in that stretch.

STARTING THEM YOUNG
The Sooners freshmen class has made an immediate impact, with all five field players seeing action this season. Erika Yost, Emma Ledbetter and goalie McKinley Crone have appeared in all 11 games this season, with Crone earning the starting nod in goal. All have season action in at least two games this season.

SOONERS PICKED THIRD
OU has been picked third in the Big 12 Soccer Preseason Poll in a vote of conference coaches. This matches the highest preseason Big 12 ranking in program history for the Sooners, with the 2016 squad also claiming third.

West Virginia was picked as the unanimous selection to win the league. Kansas was selected to finish second, and Texas Tech was tabbed fourth. Baylor, Oklahoma State, and TCU were next at fifth, sixth and seventh, while Texas and Iowa State claimed eighth and ninth. Kansas State, which enters its first season as a member of the Big 12 soccer league, rounded out the preseason poll in tenth.

SCOUTING REPORT

BAYLOR
The Bears are 7-2-1 on the season and 1-1-0 in Big 12 play after splitting a weekend with West Virginia and Iowa State. Baylor fell in overtime to WVU, 2-1, before topping Iowa State, 1-0, in overtime. Aline De Lima and Jackie Crowther share the team lead with three goals and two assists apiece for eight points each. The Bears' 16 goals have come off the feet of 10 different players this season. Hannah Parrish and Jennifer Wandt have both seen action in goal this season, combining for six shutouts. The duo has allowed just five goals, while registering 27 saves.

TEXAS
The Longhorns are the only perfect team remaining in NCAA soccer, boasting a 10-0-0 record. Texas is one of just four remaining undefeated teams as Milwaukee, UCLA and Rutgers have yet to drop a match, but have all recorded at least one tie. Cyera Hintzen leads the team offensively with five goals and four assists for 14 points on the year. Texas has four players with at least two goals this season and eight different goal scorers. Goalkeeper Nicole Curry has limited opponents to just four goals and posted seven shutouts in 915 minutes.
